Last Sunset of 2013
I thought it only right to see out the very last sunset of 2013 in the same place as I saw in the very first.
Pen Y Fan North Face Star Trail
A short star trail under the north face of Pen Y Fan and Cribyn. The moon was pretty bright so blew out a lot of the sky, all good fun though.
Warming Up For Winter
I managed to get out and stretch my legs in the mountains today. It’s been a while. It was pretty windy with some fast moving moody skies.
Star Field
I spent a little downtime sitting in a clearing in some woodland in Brecon, under a blanket of stars last night. I can confirm that it’s definitely starting to get colder. Awesome views.

I’ve been trying to whip my backside into shape for the completion of our ‘Project K’ Three Peaks Challenge, and what better …
International Dark Sky Reserve
Having recently become an International Dark Sky Reserve, the Brecon Beacons National Park is now officially the darkest mountain range in the UK, and only the fifth ever destination in the world to be awarded the title, along with Exmoor National Park in England, Parc National du Mont-Megantic in Canada, Aoraki Macenzie in New Zealand and NamibRand Nature Reserve in …
Wild Behind the Scenes
If you’ve looked at my blog at all recently you’ll know that over the last six months or so, I’ve been shooting a project with Chef and Forager, Chris Bax. Along with his wife Rose, Chris runs Taste the Wild, operating from their 18 acres of woodland in Yorkshire, providing wild food and foraging courses to successfully promote wild foods …
A Pheasant Plucking time

This segment of the project took us back up north on a pheasant shoot in the beautiful countryside of Lancashire. We were invited to follow a shoot that lasted most of …
