An example of technology being put to good use

Tonight I set myself a little task to put together a trailer for the show that I am in with the local theatre group, the New Venture Players.

As I posted the other day, we are doing Avenue Q in the Dolman Theatre in Newport in October. The director and cast are obviously keen to get the message out about the show to as many people as possible & when the puppets were delivered to rehearsals on Thursday I shot a few clips on my iphone5.

I’d downloaded the iMovie app some months ago, but had never got around to using it. I fired it up tonight for the first time & within 5 minutes had put together a short trailer & uploaded it to the theatre group’s Facebook site. It is so intuitive it is amazing & judging by the comments it has gone down really well.

It just goes to show that now film can now be put together really quickly ‘on the fly’ and for customers that want instant feedback, it’s a great way to give the world your pictures within minutes of them being shot!
